To perform a locate for any contractual underground utilities in a safe and efficient manner according to Federal and/or State regulations.

Responsibilities

1.     Perform a locate according to Federal and/or State regulations.
2.     Perform a thorough search for underground plant in an area and properly mark the location.
3.     Complete the necessary paperwork and photograph each locate.
4.     Perform a locate in a safe manner to prevent costly and dangerous damage to customers and public.
5.     Use all locating equipment and techniques in an efficient and safe manner.
6.     Access computer system to obtain locate information and upload all files and photos as necessary.
7.     Required to perform call outs after normal working hours on a 24 hour rotating basis.
8.     Meet with contractors and customer when needed.
9.     Maintain service vehicle in a clean manner at all times, perform preventive maintenance and maintain a vehicle logbook on service/repairs done on a routine basis.
10.   Build and maintain customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company’s image.
11.   Keep vehicle stocked with a sufficient supply of materials.
12.   Perform other related duties as assigned.
